Classical Fencing

Classical Fencing is a descendant of the past defensive martial arts of Europe. This class will explore the concepts of earlier sword play through the lens of Classical French Foil. Students will gain both a theoretical and physical foundation of the science, which was once considered invaluable for surviving serious armed encounters. All experience levels are welcome. For beginners, a French foil will be provided. More experienced participants should arrange the purchase or rental of long-term practice equipment with the instructor.
