Discover the creativity and confidence that comes with learning to sew! Designed for youth ages 13-18, this beginner-friendly program teaches the fundamentals of machine sewing in a fun, supportive environment. Participants will learn sewing machine operation, fabric selection and handling, measuring, cutting, garment construction, and professional finishing techniques while completing problem-solving abilities, and valuable lifelong sewing skills they can use for clothing repairs, fashion, and future creative projects. Participants are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine, if available, to become comfortable using it a home. Don't have a sewing machine? No problem - a sewing machine will be provided for participants who do not have one. The project and supply list will be discussed during the first class. No class Oct 16.
