Petit Architect Pro-D Camp: Design a Mars Station

Blast off into an out-of-this-world STEAM adventure! In this hands-on workshop, kids ages 7-12 will become space architects as they design and build their very own Mars research station. Campers will explore what life on Mars might look like and learn how scientists and architects design for extreme environments, sketch and plan their own futuristic Mars station, thinking about sleeping quarters, research labs, food production, and survival systems, build a detailed 3D Mars base model using cardboard, recycled materials, and craft supplies. By the end of the workshop, each camper will have a model of their own Mars station and a new understanding of how architecture, science, and engineering work together to help humans explore space.
